Overview
The Samithi, Sangeetha lahari has been established very recently on 29th Jan, 2011 in cultural hub of Rajahmundry (Rajahmahendravaram), situated on the banks of holy river Godavari, to promote highest values of shastriya sangeetham in the minds of the music lovers and common people for enjoying the essence of the renowned proverb “Music is the nearest way to attain the highest pleasure”. We proudly declare that all the members of the samithi are eminent music artists in different branches such as Vocalists, Violinists, Mrudangists, etc. The main motto of this samithi is to make the people immersed in music as stated in the Sanskrit sloka:
Sisur vethi, Pasur vethi
Vethi gana rasam Phanihi
It’s also an objective of this organization to encourage upcoming artists and develop confidence in them towards music. And finally arrange a stage for them to spread the culture of music.
The great initial opening of Sangeethalahari Samithi held on the evening of 29th Jan, 2011 with the showers of blessings from music lovers and the people. Followed by a great Veena concert presented by Shri Ayyagari Sathya Prasad.
The Following day, Sunday 30th Jan, 2011 ((Pushya bahula panchami) is a holy Vardhanti of Sri Rama Bhakta, Sadguru Sri Thyagaraja Swami. Considering this occasion, members of the organization observed “Nagara-Sankeerthanam” along the streets of Rajahmundry
The committee members expressed vote of thanks to all the people who contributed financially and manually. We expect same sort of cooperation for future growth of the Sangeethalahiri Samithi to organize sangeetha seva with the same spirit. This organization conducting programs till date ever since it’s established.

1) To organize a musical concert on the last Sunday of every month by eminent artists available either from Rajahmundry or other places (across India
2) To create an opportunity to the upcoming artists by providing a stage for them.Artists of entire nation will be considered with a motive of creating confidence in them.
3) The matured artists who are not getting ample chances to exhibit their talent will be considered seriously to fulfill their desire.
4) The venue of the monthly programs is “ThyagaRaja Narayana Dasa Seva Samithi” at Thyagaraja nagar, Rajahmundry
5) On the special occasions like SriRamaNavami, Ganesh Chathurthi etc., programs will be organized on demand.The artists of all corners will be given bright chances at these occasions.
6) Jayanthi Uthsavams of eminent Vagheyakars like Annamacharya,Thyagaraja will be celebrated .On those days, disciples learning keerthanas of above Vagheyakars will be given chances to exhibit their talent.
7) The organization will continue to grow based on the feed back and advices of the artists, music lovers and common people from all over the country.
8) The organization humbly request donors to contribute economically to their might and encourage the organization to walk further successfully.

1) To organize Carnatic music competetions in district,state and nation wide.The winners will be encouraged with merits of certificate and they will be given a chance to participate in further activities of the organization
2) To give a helping hand economically to the poor artists who are learning music and make them success in their musical career.
3) The eminent old artists will be provided financial support.
4) To motivate music learning by children as far as possible.
5) To provide stage to the talented music artists irrespective of their age.
6) To establish a music college on the name of the organization and to make eminent artists for the future.
7) To create the highest place for “Sampradya Sangeetam” in the minds of the people.
